The calligraphy engraved on the walls of Taj Mahal is considered the best among the all of the monuments built in the Mughal era. The calligraphy on the large gate of it is in Thuluth script and it was designed by Abdul Haq who was later entitled Amanat Khan by Shah Jahan.
