A speculation almost every one of us has heard that Shah Jahan ordered to cut the workers’ hands. However, it’s a false story. Rather historians say that the workers were signed a contract so that they would not build a similar structure like Taj Mahal. They were also paid lifetime salary for the making of the construction.
